Nigel Farage appears to have shot himself in the foot with a raucous declaration of shining innocence being smeared by the ‘deep state’ over a seriously large handout from a criminal crony. Stomping his tiny foot, he resigned and declared a bye- election in which he said the voters would raise him to hero status by beating all comers. The other parties decided not to play his game so he will end up standing against (hopefully) one opponent in comedy candidate Count Binface.
Farage was always going to be in trouble when tr Neptune moved to conjunct his Mars, exactly now to mid August; and on one off till early 2028. Mars is competitive and Neptune undercuts, bringing a sense of failure. Tr Saturn is also conjunct his Aries Sun this year which runs on into early 2027.
With tr Uranus conjunct his Midheaven from this August onwards bringing a sudden change in his direction in life and career. Plus tr Pluto opposition his Solar Arc Midheaven in 2027/28. With several other astro-disasters this year; and a confidence-denting tr Saturn conjunct his Jupiter in 2027.
The Reform Party, 23 November 2018, was always going to be on a roller coaster of highs and lows this year with tr Uranus triggering its opportunistic Mars square Sun Jupiter. With discouraging setbacks in 2027 from tr Saturn square Pluto and conjunct Uranus and more uncertainty in 2028/29 with tr Neptune square the Saturn.
You dont have to stand as MP it is their choice. If you cannot take the heat stay out of the kitchen. Life in the UK is a tightrope for everyone people are knifed every day I do not think mps should be better protected than the rest of us or kept away from us by security. They dont like it dont stand. And more of them need to bring people together responsibly not polarise when they speak which has led to a hateful atmosphere.!! To put criticism of our politicians into context, former Conservative MP and Cabinet Minister, Dame Penny Mordaunt, has just revealed that she has received over 700 death and rape threats and threats to harm her family and in the last four years there has not been a day when some sort of investigation into an incident was not taking place. Who would want the job?
Nigel Farage has certainly taken a big risk with his throw of the dice this time, who knows how things will turn out, but I’m not sure they will be as negative as this analysis suggests.
It looks as if the by-election will be held on Thursday 13th August. On the 14th of August Jupiter trines NF’s natal Sun, albeit from his 12th House, and it semi-sextiles his Ascendant.
Yes Uranus conjuncts his MC, but at the same time Neptune sextiles and Pluto trines it. So while there may be a sudden upset of some kind, the outcome for NF personally will probably be positive.
Re the transit of Neptune across his sun ruler Mars: His natal Mars is in a powerful position in its own sign and house, the 8th using Whole-sign house division. In his natal chart Neptune does not aspect that Mars either negatively or positively, its indifferent, therefore I think that while it will certainly cause him some problems (it obviously is) they will not be ‘make or break’.
In NF’s natal chart Saturn sextiles Jupiter, therefore when it conjuncts it by transit in 2027 that is likely to be helpful and stabilising I would have thought.
Who knows, we’ll see.
Neptune is the most difficult planet to interpret astrologically as it can be simultaneously inspirational and delusional. In Farage’s chart Mars is dignified as it is in domicile while Neptune is no longer turbo charged as it was in Aries. My guess is Farage will either crash and burn or emerge stronger from this transit but the choice will probably be his rather than his opponents.
The fact Farage’s Pluto sits on Burnham’s South node suggests he is going to be an ongoing problem for him regardless of whether he is in or out of Parliament. It should also be noted that Neptune and Chiron are going to be impacting Burnham’s natal planets over the next few years. Neptune is much more heavily aspected in Burnham’s natal chart than Farage so I expect its transits will be felt quite powerfully by him for both good and ill.

The by-election is likely to be 13 Aug, the day after the Leo solar eclipse, and just as Merc passes through the early degrees of Leo, activating the ‘basket’. The eclipse falls in Farage’s 12th house, ruled by his Sun in the natal 8th. Seems to me to indicate bringing hidden things to light.
I heard on the radio that Reform are targetting 6th August for the election. Have you heard or do you know differently?

According to Bernadette Brady the eclipse can have positive outcomes if the person takes action on the results.

The synastry between Farage and Burnham’s charts is interesting. Farage’s Pluto at 12 Virgo is conjunct Burnham’s South Node at 13 Virgo. Farage’s Chiron at 16 Pisces is exactly conjunct Burnham’s Mars and sextile his Sun. Farage’s Mars at 4 Aries is conjunct Burnham’s Chiron at 2 Aries. That looks quite a tricky dynamic.
The composite midpoint chart for Farage and Burnham’s charts has Pluto at 19 Virgo conjunct Uranus at 22 Virgo opposition a Venus, Chiron, Mars conjunction at 20,24 and 25 Pisces. Again that looks like a volatile and unstable set up particularly as mutable signs are involved. Neptune at 23 Scorpio is sextile Pluto/Uranus and trine Venus, Chiron and Mars. The two individuals are potentially more closely tied together at an intuitive level than their political positions would suggest but power struggles, upsets and illusions about the other could result in problems.
Irony is that he called the election to beat the “establishment” yet might end up getting beaten by bin.

It is a farce but then some might say so also was the manner in which Burnham has been shoehorned is as the next PM via the Makerfield by-election. The evidence suggests politicians hold the voters in contempt only to be wheeled out to cast their ballot when it suits them. Incidentally I dont find Count Binface or most of the other joke candidates remotely funny. It is just another sign that the political system in Britain does not take democracy seriously. The UK has far too many major unresolved problems to be wasting time and money on all this posturing. It is hardly surprising that the mass membership of all political parties in the UK is in terminal decline when politicians behave in the way they do. The question of party financing and MPs potential clashes of interests needs to be tackled right across the political spectrum. There is far too much influence peddling both inside and outside of government.
Unfortunately, Hugh, this type of whataboutism doesn’t wash. Farage’s seeming corruption is a current topic and in focus, and it can’t be swept out of sight or whitewashed by claims that the other parties are the same or worse. There aren’t any other MPs in this pickle right now. Just Nigel.
There is worse yet to emerge about Farage. David Lammy alluded yesterday to Farage’s Putin ties. None of which is surprising, given the closeness of UKIP to Alexander Udod, the Russian Spy. The confidence of Lammy’s remark was a hint that the security services know a great deal more about Nigel’s ties to Putin than is currently public. As delicious as it would be for the Count to embarrass Farage, I rather hope Farage wins so that this much needed and long overdue scrutiny can continue.
I now see that Robert Jenrick is being investigated now, and centers around a £37,500 portion of a larger £100,000 donation made to his 2024 campaign via a UK company called Spott Fitness. It is alleged that this money actually originated from a foreign source (a US business associate), which violates UK electoral laws banning overseas political donations. We need to out a stop to this. Transit Saturn has been giving the UK 1801 chart a battering this year and is currently sitting on the UK’s Aries North Node in the 7th.
So it was a somewhat sobering moment when the Finnish PM, Alexander Stubb, speaking at the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey yesterday said to the UK, ‘Just sort yourself out, please. We need you.’ Saturn speaking right there.

The transit of Neptune to Farage’s mars is really making this look like an own goal. His only declared opponent is a joke candidate and with “silly season” due to begin, the focus will be almost entirely on Farage and his finances. I imagine (hope) we will get a detailed rundown on Farage’s attendance at Parliament and clinics with his constituents etc.
Assuming he wins (I wouldn’t be surprised if an Independent might take the seat); he will then face the standards committee anyway and if that then turns out unfavourably there will be a recall by-election which may lead to more scrutiny. And somehow he’ll be expecting supporters to turn out yet again.
I suspect the turnout will be low. When the Conservatives were in their last throws of Government with Truss/Sunak – any by-election resulted in low turnouts with their voters choosing to abstain to show their disgust rather than vote for a different party.
You are mistaking the symptom with cause. Farage is not an aberration in British politics whose removal means everything will somehow revert to the status quo. He and Reform a direct product of the failure of the established political system and the mainstream parties. What should be worrying them is how a party like Reform with not much to offer but warmed over Thatcherism has managed to do so well at the polls. That issue and the failure of the UK political system to deal with Britains economic structural failures are not going away.
Hmm. I am not entirely convinced that the rise of the populist far right is the fault of the British political establishment (although a lot of other things can be laid at their door). Fascism always waits in the wings, ready to exploit bad times.

I remember the 1970s when Harold Wilson was considered a venal political figure for his cronyism, his business connections and his Lavender Resignation Honours List. By modern standards he was incredibly restrained and certainly did not enrich himself personally , leading a relatively austere retirement. Certainly, there was very little of the money grubbing and influence peddling that has been associated with ex PMs of all parties since that time.

The BBC has revealed that Count Binface is Jonathan David Harvey, an Oxford educated (BA in Classics, thank God it is not PPE) comedian who has been scriptwriter for The Thick of It and Have I Got News For You, etc.
Earlier yesterday evening, the Wikipedia page stated that he was born “1979/80”. Now it states that he was born May 1980 in Croydon.
A search for that precise name on Companies House brings up one person born in May 1977 and a fair few from 1969/70.
Even assuming that we don’t have a date for him. based on the info above, can we plot out the zodiac locations of the outer planets and make some predictions based on them?
I prefer an element of mystery around him.
The question in my mind is if Nigel departs from the Reform Party and the party goes into decline where do his supporters go to next? Does the party that attracts them next even exist yet seeing as the astrology for all the existing parties looks dire.
